Computrainer PowerProfiles FAQ



  1. Do your PowerProfiles simulate the terrain (inclines, etc.) you see in your videos? - Yes. Computrainer PowerProfiles are actually Multirider .mrc files which simulate the resistance of the grade on the Computrainer while you play the DVD.
  2. Are these PowerProfiles distance or time-based? - Computrainer PowerProfiles are time-based workouts and synchronize exactly to the road events seen on the DVD.
  3. How do you achieve synchronization between the workout and the video ? - Synchronization is achieved by simply starting the DVD ride and the Multirider workout at exactly the same time. Since both the DVD and workout are time-based they will stay in sync.
  4. What resistance criteria are PowerProfies based on? - Computrainer PowerProfiles are based on a rider’s % Threshold as guiding criteria.
  5. How many PowerProfiles do you have for each epicRIDE? - We include three COMPUTRAINER PowerProfile .mrc files for each video - easy, medium and hard workouts - which are essentially 10% progressive harder % Threshold wise.
  6. How do you use these files in a multibike, Multirider setup - In the multirider environment you simply enter each rider's individual threshold specs into the Multirider software prior to starting your ride.
  7. Can I modify these PowerProfiles and produce my own workouts synchronized to these DVDs? - Yes, it is possible to modify these workout files. To do so you will need a copy of our source files. Contact us to get a copy.
